Built on the SDT Engine.
The primary automotive product. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) integrated. Dealer Management System (DMS) integrated. In production at dealers nationwide.
Built into your existing CRM
Botdoc Connect runs inside the CRM your dealership already operates in. The dealership employee never opens a portal. The customer never registers an account. The CRM gets the data automatically. Three sides of every deal connected in real time, ad-hoc, through the patented Botdoc SDT Engine. No logins. No PINs. No password resets. That is why we call it Connect.
Botdoc Connect is embedded inside CDK's Modern Retail and eLead CRM workflows. Ask your CDK representative to add the Connect capability to your dealership's deployment, or talk to the Botdoc team directly.
Botdoc Connect is embedded inside the VinSolutions CRM from Cox Automotive. Ask your VinSolutions representative to enable the Connect capability for your store, or talk to the Botdoc team directly.

Connect is the flagship automotive product in the SecureMyDealer family. It is the CRM-integrated dealership workflow that captures and auto-populates leads, validates customer IDs, and appends existing records in the dealership's CRM or DMS. The sales floor uses it. The Finance and Insurance (F&I) office gets the documents already verified. The customer never leaves their text thread.
Connect is what is running at the largest dealership groups in the country today. This is not a roadmap product. It is the system that has been collecting driver's license images, proof of insurance, pay stubs, and trade paperwork at scale for years.
Picture the dealership website: a customer schedules a test drive. The Botdoc-powered Connect experience captures the lead, validates the ID, and appends the customer's existing record in the CRM before the salesperson picks up the phone. By the time the customer walks in, the file is already populated and the F&I office is ahead, not behind.
The dealership has always wanted a single workflow from website lead through showroom to F&I close. What stopped them was the gap between what the sales floor will use and what compliance requires. Sales staff live on text and unsecured email because that is what closes deals. Compliance requires the customer's documents to ride encrypted, with audit trails, into a system the dealership can defend at audit.
The traditional stitch-together was three vendors: a CRM, a secure document portal, and an ID verification provider. The customer was asked to register for the portal. Forty-to-fifty percent of the time, they bailed. The salesperson then defaulted back to a text message, and the dealership absorbed the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Safeguards exposure.
Connect was the first product Botdoc built on the SDT Engine because the engine made the three-vendor problem one-vendor. The CRM populates from the same flow the customer is using to upload. The ID verification fires inside that flow. The compliance happens in the transport. The salesperson never leaves their normal workflow.
The FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314) requires in-transit encryption of customer financial data at every auto dealership in the country, with examiner attention escalating year over year since the 2023 amendments and the 30-day breach-notification rule that followed. State DMV and Attorney General enforcement is escalating in parallel against credit-app handling and ID-document workflows. Connect is built so that the encrypted path is the path of least resistance for the sales floor, not the path they avoid in favor of a personal email account or a text from their phone.
Every document moves through the patented SDT Engine. The transport layer is the compliance layer. Audit trails on every transaction. No customer credentials sitting in the dealership environment for an attacker to harvest. No password resets to staff. The compliance review during the next examination is faster because the architecture is simpler and the encryption posture is enforced at the protocol level rather than at the user-discretion level.
Connect is one of three production products under the SecureMyDealer umbrella, all built on the same SDT Engine and ranging from full-feature enterprise integration down to lighter-weight deployments for smaller dealers and standalone identity verification. Lite is the streamlined variant for smaller dealers and franchise groups that do not need the full enterprise CRM and DMS integration project. ID Verify is the real-time identity feature that runs inside Connect and Lite or ships as a standalone capability for dealerships that have other transport in place but need the ID-verification step. The same engine powers all three, which means a dealership group can mix the variants across rooftops without standing up parallel infrastructure.
